Other terms used include “‘test and inspect‘. ‘testing and inspection’ and ‘2391 tests.’ However, the correct terminology is ‘Inspection and Testing’ simply because this is the order it is done in

PAT TESTING
PAT Testing (Portable appliance testing) is the process of periodically testing your electrical appliances. It helps to ensure they are effectively maintained and safe for use within the appropriate environment, according to the manufacturers specification. It is a statutory requirement and many insurance companies require the insured to comply with all current regulations.
All electrical appliances that are fitted with a 3 pin domestic plug amongst others are required to be tested on a regular basis to ensure that they are safe for employees or the public to use. Failure to comply can result in prosecution and carries a maximum penalty of £5000 and up to 6 months imprisonment.
All electrical testing carried out by LRD Electricals is in full accordance with the IEE Code of Practise for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.Our engineers use only use the best and most up to date test equipment.
LRD Electricals only employs fully qualified electrical engineers. During our visit they may discover numerous faults within most workplaces so our engineers will replace damaged plugs free of any charges. Wiring the plug incorrectly or indeed dangerously can lead to serious injury of anyone coming into contact with either the plug or the appliance it is connected to and a wiring fault like this can easily cause fire and electrocution.
We will replace or repair this plug and make sure that it is perfectly safe for use afterwards – this is all included within our simple fixed price free quotation.

A fully qualified PAT test engineer, DBS checked, insured and uniformed to visit your premises. Every item comprehensively tested with approved calibrated PAT test equipment. Each item tested will have a unique approved label.
